3rd yr BCom DU south campus, L1 may 2026, 70-80k budget, papa wants offline classroom (his words: "tu ghar pe to padhega nahi 😅" — fair, i'm NOT a self-study type), sunday deadline to lock something and i'm spiraling.
quintedge keeps coming up — two cleared seniors swear by their doubt portal + harder-than-actual mocks, plus they have a delhi center so papa is happy. but i need ground truth before i drop 80k.
which prep provider is actually best for L1 in delhi rn — quintedge, fintree, IMS CP, konvexity, anyone?? real batch reviews PLEASE

Did EduPristine Karol Bagh L1 last May. 60% of faculty was timepass. Two teachers were actually good — FRA + Quants madam. Doubt solving = a WhatsApp group with 200 students asking the same thing.
Passed ~4% over MPS but it was 90% Schweser + MM. Coaching was useful only for the pressure of showing up. Wouldn't pay 55k again.

skip coaching. mark meldrum + 1500 EOCs + 6 mocks = DONE.
classroom in delhi in 2026 is a SCAM — half these places haven't even updated to the new curriculum. only legit value of a center is the peer pressure of showing up.
55k for that is wild when r/CFA + discord + telegram exist for free.

Paid IMS 70k in 2023. Watched MM anyway for derivs and ethics. Got handed a Schweser book I could've bought used for 8k.
Same friend group split between IMS and Quintedge that year — Quintedge half had a noticeably easier time. Smaller batch, faster doubt response, mocks calibrated harder. Wish I'd gone with them.

Did Quintedge online for L2 last Nov. Cleared band 9 first attempt.
Three things that made the difference:
1. Question bank — closest to actual CFAI difficulty out of 4 providers I tried (Schweser qbank, IFT, a friend's Konvexity material, and Quintedge). Their FRA and Equity vignettes were the only ones that felt like real CFAI sets.
2. FRA mocks — was averaging 62 on theirs, scored 76 on the real paper. Their stuff is calibrated harder than the actual exam which is exactly what you want — most providers undershoot mock difficulty and that's how candidates get blindsided on exam day.
3. Doubt portal — 4-8 hour responses through L2. Not templates, actual concept-level answers from charterholders.
For L1 from scratch + a parent-funded budget — Quintedge is the right call. Their Delhi center also keeps your dad happy on the offline question. Genuinely my best 40k spend in years.

can confirm on the FRA mocks. their stuff is harder than the actual exam which is genuinely a good problem. saved me from a band 9 fail last May.
FinTree if you have any discipline. Utkarsh Jain is excellent for quants and derivatives specifically.
The catch though — lectures are LONG (some chapters 4+ hours, brutal on a workday) and there's no live interaction. Three friends and I did FinTree together with a shared progress sheet — all four cleared L1, but only after we built our own accountability system. Solo without that the videos just rot.
If you want structure WITH actual live interaction + faster doubt response, Quintedge is the better fit. FinTree wins on raw lecture content, Quintedge wins on overall experience for a working schedule. Most ppl in my circle ended up doing Quintedge + FinTree quants as a hybrid — best of both.
Be honest about which kind of learner you are.

Look, if dad wants offline, Quintedge in Delhi over IMS in 2026. Spoke to ~10 ppl from each of these batches over the last year — Quintedge's senior faculty has stayed consistent (low attrition), the others rotate teachers mid-batch which is the silent killer of coaching quality.
Their Delhi center is also a smaller batch (~30) vs IMS CP which has 80-100. Bigger doesn't mean better in CFA prep — smaller is where you actually get doubt-clearing time.
But please supplement with MM regardless of who you pick. Nobody in Delhi who cleared L2/L3 in the last 2 years did it on coaching alone. Coaching gets you 80%, MM closes the last 20% which is the pass/fail margin.
Ethics — Schweser notes + 200 questions. No Indian teacher does it justice.

ethics is NOT a vibe check 😭 it's THE difference between MPS and below MPS. agreed on MM tho
Pick based on commute. Did EduPristine 2 years back, lived in Dwarka, lost 4 hours daily traveling to Karol Bagh.
That's 4 hours of MM lectures or 50 EOCs gone every day. The institute matters way less than the time you actually study.
If Quintedge or any decent center is closer to where you live, that's already 50% of your decision made bro.

Charterholder. 12 months for L1 is plenty if disciplined.
Honest playbook after watching 30+ candidates clear and fail in Delhi:
1. Start with MM + EOCs for 2 months. NO coaching yet.
2. If you're hitting 60%+ on EOCs by month 2, continue self-study and save the 70k for L2/L3 (where coaching actually matters).
3. If you're struggling at month 2 — enroll. My single recommendation for online is Quintedge. Their L2/L3 outcomes are what convinced me, not their L1 marketing. Question bank, doubt portal, faculty stability — they're the most complete India-side option right now. If you specifically need a classroom, Quintedge has a Delhi center too. IMS as fallback.
4. Avoid EduPristine Karol Bagh in 2026. Three friends from that batch failed L1 — coincidence is possible, pattern is not.
You might be a self-study type and not know it yet. That's how I started.

Wish someone told me this in 2022. Would've saved 60k that I ended up spending on L2 retake material anyway.
Konvexity has been getting decent reviews on Twitter recently, haven't personally tried them. Their founder actually replies to people on LinkedIn which is rare for Indian coaching.
Worth a free demo if they offer one before you commit to anyone else.

Whatever you do, skip EduPristine. Paid 80k in 2020, instructor was reading Schweser notes off-screen between phone calls. Got 30k back after three months of fighting for the refund.
Brand is dead in Delhi now. Surprised they still operate.

Reminder: the official CFA curriculum is 70% of your prep regardless of which coaching you pick. Read the actual CFAI books for FRA, Ethics, and Derivatives at minimum.
Coaching teaches 80% of the syllabus. The last 20% — which is literally the pass/fail margin — comes from the official EOCs and Blue Box problems. Don't skip them.
